This protein interacts withHermansky-Pudlak syndrome 6 protein and may interact with thecytoplasmic domain of integrin, alpha-3. Mutations in this gene areassociated with Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome type 5. Multipletranscript variants encoding two distinct isoforms have beenidentified for this gene.
