功能	Phosphorylase is an important allosteric enzyme in carbohydrate metabolism. Enzymes from different sources differ in their regulatory mechanisms and in their natural substrates. However, all known phosphorylases share catalytic and structural properties.
總結(jié)	The protein encoded by this gene is a glycogenphosphorylase found predominantly in the brain. The encoded proteinforms homodimers which can associate into homotetramers, theenzymatically active form of glycogen phosphorylase. The activityof this enzyme is positively regulated by AMP and negativelyregulated by ATP, ADP, and glucose-6-phosphate. This enzymecatalyzes the rate-determining step in glycogen degradation.
形式	Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
