功能	Member of the repulsive guidance molecule (RGM) family. Involved in iron metabolism. Acts as a bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) coreceptor (By similarity). Enhancement of BMP signaling regulates hepcidin (HAMP) expression and iron metabolism (By similarity). May cooperate with hepcidin to restrict iron absorption in the gut. Could represent the cellular receptor for hepcidin.
總結(jié)	HFE2 is involved in iron metabolism. It may be a component of the signaling pathway which activates hepcidin or it may act as a modulator of hepcidin expression. It could also represent the cellular receptor for hepcidin.

Secondary Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG, (H+L), Peroxidase conjugated at 1/10000 dilution. Predicted band size : 45 kDa Blocking/Dilution buffer: 5% NFDM/TBST. HFE2 Antibody (Center) (Cat. AMM05343G) IHC analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded skeletal muscle followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of the HFE2 Antibody (Center) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.
