功能	Component of some SCF (SKP1-cullin-F-box) protein ligase complex that plays a central role in iron homeostasis by promoting the ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of IREB2/IRP2. Upon high iron and oxygen level, it specifically recognizes and binds IREB2/IRP2, promoting its ubiquitination and degradation by the proteasome. Promotes ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of DCTN1/p150-glued.

圖像	Western blot analysis of FBXL5 Antibody (N-term) (Cat. APR06165G) in HepG2 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). FBXL5 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab; Western blot analysis of FBXL5 Antibody (N-term) (Cat. APR06165G) in mouse heart tissue lysates (35ug/lane). FBXL5 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab. FBXL5 Antibody (N-term) (Cat. APR06165G) IHC analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded testis tissue followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of the FBXL5 Antibody (N-term) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.
