功能	Component of the ESCRT-I complex, a regulator of vesicular trafficking process. Binds to ubiquitinated cargo proteins and is required for the sorting of endocytic ubiquitinated cargos into multivesicular bodies (MVBs). Plays a role in the proteasomal degradation of ubiquitinated cell-surface proteins, such as EGFR and BST2.
總結(jié)	UBAP1 is a member of the UBA domain family, whose members include proteins having connections to ubiquitin and the ubiquitination pathway. The ubiquitin associated domain is thought to be a non-covalent ubiquitin binding domain consisting of a compact three helix bundle. This particular protein riginates from a gene locus in a refined region on chromosome 9 undergoing loss of heterozygosity in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). Taking into account its cytogenetic location, this UBA domain family member is being studies as a putative target for mutation in nasopharyngeal carcinomas.

圖像	Western blot analysis of UBAP1 Antibody (N-term) (Cat. APR06125G) in mouse liver, cerebellum tissue lysates (35ug/lane). UBAP1 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab. Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human brain tissue reacted with UBAP1 Antibody (N-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. UBAP1 Antibody (N-term) (Cat. APR06125G) flow cytometric analysis of HepG2 cells (bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.
