功能	Binds to type I, II, and IV collagens. This adhesion protein may play an important role in cell-collagen interactions. In cartilage, may be involved in endochondral bone formation.
總結(jié)	This gene encodes an RGD-containing protein that binds totype I, II and IV collagens. The RGD motif is found in manyextracellular matrix proteins modulating cell adhesion and servesas a ligand recognition sequence for several integrins. Thisprotein plays a role in cell-collagen interactions and may beinvolved in endochondrial bone formation in cartilage. The proteinis induced by transforming growth factor-beta and acts to inhibitcell adhesion. Mutations in this gene are associated with multipletypes of corneal dystrophy.
儲(chǔ)存條件	Store at +4°C short term. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
