功能	The proteasome is a multicatalytic proteinase complex which is characterized by its ability to cleave peptides with Arg, Phe, Tyr, Leu, and Glu adjacent to the leaving group at neutral or slightly basic pH. The proteasome has an ATP-dependent proteolytic activity. Mediates the lipopolysaccharide-induced signal transduction in the macrophage proteasome (By similarity). Might be involved in the anti-inflammatory response of macrophages during the interaction with C.albicans heat-inactivated cells (By similarity).
總結(jié)	The proteasome is a multicatalytic proteinase complex witha highly ordered ring-shaped 20S core structure. The core structureis composed of 4 rings of 28 non-identical subunits; 2 rings arecomposed of 7 alpha subunits and 2 rings are composed of 7 betasubunits. Proteasomes are distributed throughout eukaryotic cellsat a high concentration and cleave peptides in anATP/ubiquitin-dependent process in a non-lysosomal pathway. Anessential function of a modified proteasome, the immunoproteasome,is the processing of class I MHC peptides. This gene encodes amember of the peptidase T1A family, that is a 20S core alphasubunit. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcriptvariants encoding distinct isoforms.
儲(chǔ)存條件	Store at +4°C short term. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
