功能	Transfers mannosyl residues to the hydroxyl group of serine or threonine residues. Coexpression of both POMT1 and POMT2 is necessary for enzyme activity, expression of either POMT1 or POMT2 alone is insufficient.
總結(jié)	The protein encoded by this gene is anO-mannosyltransferase that requires interaction with the product ofthe POMT2 gene for enzymatic function. The encoded protein is foundin the membrane of the endoplasmic reticulum. Defects in this geneare a cause of Walker-Warburg syndrome (WWS) and limb-girdlemuscular dystrophy type 2K (LGMD2K). Several transcript variantsencoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

APR03684G) western blot analysis in ZR-75-1,K562 cell line lysates (35ug/lane).This demonstrates the POMT1 antibody detected the POMT1 protein (arrow). POMT1 Antibody (C-term) (Cat. APR03684G) flow cytometric analysis of U251 cells (right histogram) compared to a negative control cell (left histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.
