功能	Acts as a repressor of transcriptional activation. Inhibits the transcriptional coactivator activity of CITED1 on Smad-mediated transcription. Chaperone. Component of the PRP19- CDC5L complex that forms an integral part of the spliceosome and is required for activating pre-mRNA splicing. May have a scaffolding role in the spliceosome assembly as it contacts all other components of the core complex. Binds bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) et mediates LPS-induced inflammatory response, including TNF secretion by monocytes. Participates in the ER-associated degradation (ERAD) quality control pathway in conjunction with J domain-containing co-chaperones and the E3 ligase CHIP.
總結(jié)	Hsp73 is a normal cell constituent which is synthesized in increased abundance under adverse environmental circumstances, such as non-physiological temperatures or treatment with amino acid analogues (1). Data has shown a molecular mechanism for cytokine-mediated posttranscriptional regulation of Bim mRNA by Hsc70, which binds to AU-rich elements (AREs) in the 3'-untranslated region of specific mRNAs and enhances their stability. The RNA binding potential of Hsc70 is regulated by cochaperones including Bag-4 (also SODD), CHIP, Hip, and Hsp40 (2). Hsp73 protein expression was detected in the cytoplasm of melanoma cells in primary tumors and metastases. In primary melanomas, the proportion of Hsp73 protein expressing cells correlated with tumor thickness which was found to be statistically significant (3).
